August 2014 – Club Handicap Result

8 PBs, 16 SBs (7 improving on July times) and 4 ‘first timers’ (FRs) were recorded amongst the 33 members who contested the Club Handicap, last evening, in dry (almost), but windy conditions. Chris Wilson (1st) continues to thwart the handicapper by going under 18 mins for the first time and knocking 27 secs off his PB. Louise Johnson (2nd), after a slightly disappointing July run, reduced her PB time by 31 secs, with Victoria Kirk (3rd) taking 39 secs from her PB. Paul Wallis (4th)  and Ben Woods (6th) both bettered their PBs by 37 and 25 secs, respectively.

It was good to see Cass Brewer and Zoe Foster, who haven’t competed since late 2010, and Jack Holland and Richard Goulder, since just over a year, returning to the fold. Danny Norman (7th), in a time of 17:21, was the fastest of 5 runners who ran sub 18 mins, and Libby Marchant (19th) was fastest Lady with 19:37.
