A spreadsheet glitch on the night, no telephone, therefore no broadband, at home in the morning and confirmation on Friday that I had actually broken my leg on Tuesday, severely curtailed my ability to post the August Handicap Result on the website. I did, however, manage to get the up-to-date information onto the Club Notice Board for the Monday runners.
Of the 35 runners competing in the August Handicap, it was particularly pleasing to welcom back a number of members who hadn’t participated for some time. Janneke Zoeteman last ran in Nov 2011, Alice Tozer (10/12), James Thurston (11/12), Jack Holland (09/14) and Ben Woods (11/14)
Howard Brinkworth had one of his better runs to finish 1st ahead of Alaistair McG.Williams and Peter Grecian. Times were generally more representative of peoples fitness compared with July’s with eight achieving PBs.
With the nights drawing in now, (sunset 1946), you would be well advised to wear your high vis training tops on Wednesday. Pleased be prepared to help if you are not able to run. The August Race analysis is attached.
