StreetO Fundraiser for Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal

Saturday 2pm 12th March, Chessington British Legion.  Church Lane, Chessington KT9 2DR.

Many club members are taking part in this fun and worthwhile event either as runners or volunteers.  It’s suggested we wear blue and yellow kit rather than club tops.

It starts at 2pm for kids, 2:30 for adults.

There’s a raffle at 4pm and a bar and it should be a great social occasion.

26.2 Win Mob Match vs Stragglers!

Well done everyone who took part in the Mob Match!  A special thank you to all the volunteers who made it safe, and enjoyable.  Our friends at The Stragglers rose to the challenge and put up a magnificent fight but with 97 participants could not contend with the flood of 103 26.2’ers.

Results

The staff at Surbiton Racket and Fitness Club were fantastic and were able to offer outdoor facilities using the marquees and hot food and drink to us and our guests.

Phil, the captain of the Stragglers challenged us to another match this time next year.  Bring it on!

Call for Volunteers: Mob Match Sunday 12th December

The mob match on Sunday 12th December is the start of the club Christmas events and a really fun occasion.  We have challenged our friends at The Stragglers running club to see which club can get the most runners and walkers to complete a 3.8 mile course starting and finishing at Surbiton Racket and Fitness Club.

Volunteers also count towards the count and you would be contributing towards the safety and community spirit of the event.  The club will show it’s appreciation by buying the volunteers a dring (each!) at the bar afterwards, and they will be entered into the draw for the raffle – for which there are great prizes.

Registration from 10am, walkers’ start 10:30am, runners start 11am.
