Sue Garnish was first across the line by quite some distance with her start time benefitting from a slowish comeback run. She was just under a minute ahead of Ricky Emery with Steve Ramek, Greg Whiteman and Libby Marchant in close order behind. Ricky and Libby ran PBs as did Ben Downe (6th), Maria Cenalmor (8th) and Rosie Gerrard (13th). Libby’s PB took her under 7min/mile for the first time, and all ran under 9 mins/mile. Only 18 runners, including two first timers, ran in March which was rather disappointing, although about 10 others turned up to help. Newcomer Ed Whiffen was first finisher in exactly his predited time of 18 mins but Chris Wilson, with a PB of 22:07, was first scorer, 15 secs ahead of Greg Whiteman. 30 secs further back and within 17 secs, positions 4th to 9th were filled by Richard Goulder, Steve Ramek, Libby Marchant, Ben Downe, David Pearce and Ricky Emery. Richard ran an SB as did Matthew Pritchard in 10th position. Libby’s PB time of 20:28 puts her 14th in the all time top 15 Ladies list, above Sharron Andrew and at the expense of Bronwynn Joyce who drops out.
