37 Runners last night for the January 2016 Club Handicap, with the entry missing a number of ‘regulars’ but boosted by 10 ‘first timers’! Captain ‘Sinbad’ Stone can be rightly proud of his determined finish to overcome Stacy Banwell, on the line, and run an SB. An excellant run by Stacy who, in only her third run, has reduced her time by almost 3mins to 23:48, to move her from 33rd to 16th= in the League Table. Andy Day (19:36) was the only other runner to achieve a PB, whilst there were SBs for Javier Fuentes, Michael Street and Sue Garnish who, with a time of 23:48, was equal fastest lady with Stacy Banwell. Newcomer Henry Butress (18:18) was fastest man.
Richard Kirk still heads the League Table, with a slightly reduced margin, from Javier Fuentes who moves up from 4th to 2nd. Lizzie Wilson moves up from 8th to 5th, Andy Day from 10th to 6th, Michael Street from 12th to 9th, Sue Garnish from 17 to 12=. Losing out this month were Steve Ramek from 6th down to 10th, and Amy Burton 7th down to 13th.
