Committee positions available

Anyone who has in interest in joining the 26.2 RRC committee needs to complete a form (available in the downloads section of the website) and get two members signatures acting as nominees. The committee is not an exclusive clique and we encourage anyone who has an interest in our club and running in general to put themselves forward. You don’t need to be a long standing member or a veteran runner to join committee, you just need to be enthusiastic and be willing to give up a small amount of your free time to help with the running of the club. Committee meetings are roughly every month for a couple of hours. If you are not sure, then you are welcome to come along to a committee meeting as an observer to get an idea of what goes on. Typical committee tasks include organising the Valentines 10K race, the Horton Park relays, social events such as the Summer BBQ and Awards night, creating the “Grand Prix” calendar of races, dealing with UK Athletics, managing our stock of club kit, managing our accounts and much more. If this sounds interesting to you and you would like to give something back to the club then please put yourself forward for a committee position.

This year there are three “honorary” poistions available on the committee – Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary. The rest of the committee is made of “ordinary” members.

If you are intersted in joining committee you can find nomination forms for honorary positions here: {phocadownload view=file|id=93}

and ordinary positions here: {phocadownload view=file|id=94}
