The club are pleased to announce that the twelfth and final Grand Prix fixture has now been confirmed as The Brooks Fleet Half Marathon on Sunday 20th March 2016.
This incredibly popular race, organised by Fleet and Crookham AC is now in it’s 35th year. It’s excellent preparation for those of you doing a spring marathon or just a good excuse for a quick race around 13.1 miles.
Whilst this race does clash with some other events such as Cranleigh, the GP organisers have taken the view that this race represents the best value for money for a half marathon and importantly it fits in around other scheduling requirements. In addition to that of course, Fleet gets almost universal feedback as one of the best races in the country! The race begins at 10.30am so the 45 minute journey down from Surbiton need not be too early a start.
We would like to stress however that this race ALWAYS sells out – often before early January so we strongly urge you to enter as soon as possible.
Entries are just £21 for affiliated and £23 for unaffiliated and are available via their website.
For those of you interested, a Strava activity of the course can be found online by clicking here. As you can see, the course is a quick one with plenty of PB potential.
