Grand Prix Tables have now been updated for the Ashtead 10k. See link below.
11 men and 6 women turned out for the Ashtead 10k. The slightly lower turnout meant there were plenty of Grand Prix points on offer and despite the uneven and “undulating” nature of the course there were strong performances. Katherine Wilson finished in first place in a new women’s course record and Danny Norman and Libby Marchant finished second in their respective classes. You will have to let us know how the prizes of home made cider went down. There were also PBs by Moustafa Fawzy and David Pearce.
Next Grand Prix is the cross-country at Lightwater on 19 October. Women run at 12 and the men at 3pm though I would encourage the men to come early and support the women. As usual we will be celebrating in the New Prince from 6.30pm and going for a curry around 8pm. Put it in your diary now – all are welcome.
