Joining the Club - try us out for free first!
Don't be put off by our Club name, though some members do run marathons (and further...) many of our Club members enjoy running shorter distances or just for the enjoyment and health benefits of running. We aim to be a friendly and inclusive Club and welcome new Members of ALL running standards, fast or slow, beginner, returning or experienced runners.

Not sure if a Running Club is for you?
No problem! just come along and try us out for a couple of sessions, if you like us join, if not at least you've had a couple of runs! If you are new to running or taking it up after a break, why not join us on Monday's Beginners & Improvers Night and see how much more fun running with a group is - much better than slogging around on your own. More experienced or fitter Runners may want to try a Wednesday Night Session. Once you get the taste you'll probably want to join up!

If possible, we recommend you come for the first time on a Monday night as on Mondays you will always be guaranteed a normal run. On Wednesdays we do a variety of activities - longer runs, track sessions, hill sessions and our monthly 3 mile "Club Handicap" race. If in doubt, email us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it with any questions.

It's not expensive...
The annual membership is a very reasonable £15. An optional Club Running Vest is available for £20 and is required if a member wishes to compete for the club. Other Club Clothing is also available at very reasonable prices. All Members get discount at a number of local Running Shops.

Showers, Changing & Social
Members can use the Changing, Showering & Bar facilities of the Surbiton Racket & Fitness Club (our base Club House) for a reasonable additional annual payment (currently £77 + £10 joining fee, which equates to £1.67 a week). Why not stay on after your run and rehydrate in the bar with fellow Club Members? It's a great way to find out more about your sport and unlike you non-running friends, they won't be bored by all the running talk!

Everyone welcome
We are keen to recruit new members of ALL levels and abilities, whether you are just starting on a keep fit program or you want to run a marathon. We currently have just around 170 members.
