WE’VE DONE IT! I’m sure (well in my 15 years membership) for the first time ever we are promoted to Division 1 ! Huge congratulations to everyone who has taken part in any of the 4 race series and roll on next season – we want to stay there!

The last match was billed as 5 miles but turned out to be 5.6 miles of mud, hills and more mud and hills – a tough course which suited come-back Aimee who has been out since October and was 3rd in Div 2, amazing! Followed by Maggie, Zoe Ashcroft, Alice and Sharon (great to see you back too!), me, Carmella, Sarah, Jacquie who ran with Zoe Wingfield (thanks for taking part after your 20 mile run the day before), Cass and Lizzie – special mention to you both for surviving the overdistance course (“I’m not doing the longer ones” earlier quote from Lizzie!)

Thanks too to our supporters Peter Tozer, Joe Chang, John M and Don Esslemont (who also took photos,) and encouragement from Liz and Alan Souness. If I’ve missed anyone I’m sorry my brain is not yet in gear after such an exciting weekend!

We will discuss at Committee early March about the promotion fleeces which of course are available to everyone who has taken part in any of the races, so if you have any colour preferances see me soon!
