We had a great turn-out with 13 runners plus Maria Cenalmor who ran as a guest. We all proudly put our Division 1 numbers on our backs and nearly 300 seniors and vets Div 1 and 2 were set off on the 6.4K course with a huge bang (you could smell the gunpowder!). Our “A” team was lead home by Maggie, followed by Aimee and Katherine (great to have you both back running!), Zoe Ashcroft and Jane Calderbank. Many thanks to our supporters who gave us huge cheers as we went past on 3 laps!

Dec 3rd Richmond Park, Peterham End 6k at noon

Jan 14th Farthing Downs, Coulsdon 8k at noon

Feb 11th West End, Esher, 8k at noon

Also, we are hosting the Men’s match at Epsom Downs on Sat Nov 12th so if anyone is free to help marshal / set up the course it would be very appreciated.

 

The “B” team followed with Libby, Natalie, Krystal and Nikki (great debut races from you both!) and Zoe Wingfield, follwed by the “C” team of Carmella, Ann and our guest Maria who only started running 8 months ago. We have to remember that Division 1 has the top Surrey ladies running so tough competition – we were 13th team out of 15 which I think we should be happy with as a start, but we will have to keep getting our “fast girls” out to ensure we stay in Div 1 next season!

Natalie ran in the under 17’s race and is clearly really enjoying the experience.
