National record for Ann

Congratulations to Ann Bath, who, to add to her status as an age-group cross country international for Scotland, has just set a national cycling record. Competing in Sussex at the weekend, on a circuit between Eastbourne and Stenying, Ann completed 319.99 miles in 24 hours, a best for a 62-year-old, beating the previous mark of 313.4. Ann’s PB, set when she was 56, was 342 miles but, modestly, she says; “That was on an easier course. I am really chuffed with this new record.”
