Nonsuch Relays – Results

What a great turn out for the 2016 Nonsuch Relays, not only did we turn out a very impressive 11 teams in a record field of 99 teams but our top team on the night consiting of Alastair, Joe C, Anthony and Danny finished 7th overall in a time of 41:09. Our first ladies team finished as 3rd ladies team overall (5th if you include the 2 junior ladies teams) in a very respectbale time of 49:36

The other impressive thing about last night was the fact that with the exception of one person who had an unexpected motoring emergency and another with a child sickness due to his mothers driving in her rush to get there on time (or so I am led to believe) everyone arrived on time and we were able to get every team sorted before the race started which was great. There were some really good performances all round last night and it was really good to see so many of the quicker side of the club turning out to give the other clubs a run for their money but also just as important was the slower section of the club. It’s really important to ensure that we as a club remain inclusive in everything we do and the fact that we had 3 teams consiting of our newest members who graduated from Zero2Hero earlier this year was really amazing to see. The best thing of all was that despite some concern that those 3 teams would come dead last by one or two of those who took part nothing could have been further from the truth as the results clearly show.

Thank you to everyone who turned out last night and thank you to those who came along to support, especially our newest member of the 26.2 RRC fraternity Alex Kirk who I am sure was doing his level best to cheer you all along whilst he dozed in his buggy last night,
