Parkrunning – 20/10/2012

Mindfull of the Cross Country on Saturday, and what good results they were, parkrun times and numbers were generally down for the 20 members who ran this week.

Matthew Pengelly had his first run at Claisebrook Cove with a time of 23:15, his PB for any parkrun, and John Matthews clocked up his 100th different event at Burgess.

As for me, I will be running my 250th parkrun at Banstead Woods this coming weekend, and there will be cake!  I’ll be very pleased if Club members could join me, (you can run at my pace if you’re worried about the Grand Prix 10K on Sunday!) and if so, to wear your Club vests and put on a show.  I’ve excused Neil this and asked him to wear his 250 parkrun top, he being the first member to achieve this.  Although I’ll be second, look out for Alan Collis who is currently on 239.
