Monday was the start of five days of evening races – The Tour of Epsom & Ewell organised by Dave Denton. Last year saw 11 Club members complete all 5 events whilst this year just 5 of us managed to do this.
Each night we had a mostly offroad race of between 2.7 miles and just under 4 miles. The atmosphere was great – friendly competition, lots of banter and the final evening saw the presentation of prizes and a technical running hat for everyone who completed all events.

Monday Horton Country Park trail – 3.2 miles
Tuesday Nonsuch Park on-tarmac double loop 3.7 miles
Wednesday Hogsmill Open Space 3.7 miles
Thursday Nonsuch Park grass and trail 2 lap time trial 2.7 miles
Friday NESCOTT fields all on grass 2 laps handicap 3.8 miles.
A total of 82 runners completed all 5 events.

There is no denying that this event is good value for money with an entry fee of just £18 for all 5 events and it was great to see Sharon being award 3rd lady in her age group. Binkie is really looking forward to seeing her turn up at our next Club Handicap event wearing the shorts she was presented with.
