Valentines 10K – Calling all Marshals

With only one week to go until the big day I have now sent out details to all volunteers for responsibilities for the event. For those who are Marshalling I have emailed a detailed sheet for your junction which if you are unable to print to take with you on the day please let me know. Please ensure you have a copy of your sheet on the day as it has emergency contact details on it and the race referee may ask to see it.

We have had another great response from the club this year and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you again for your support, however this does not mean that we would turn down any more offers of help as we can never have to many volunteers on the day, if your available and haven’t yet done so please let me know.

Can I please ask that everyone check their emails and respond ASAP as I have taken most email addresses directly from the membership database and contact me at stone.kev@gmail.com if you have not recieved one. If this is the case can you also notify Grant or Zoe so they can update your details on the database. Also can you please confirm the contact number I have for you which has also been taken from the database. Please read the instructions carefully and if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask me or any other member of the committee.

Please remember that a Hi Visibilty vest must be worn when marshalling and you can either collect one from the club this week or pick one up on the day at the HQ. Anyone wishing to help out at the HQ in the morning before heading off to their marshalling point to arrive before the race start time of 9am would be most welcome and we will be there from 7am onwards.

For those of you who are unsure where the HQ is the address is:

Chessington Community College, Garrison Lane, Chessington, KT9 2JS and can be found here

Happy Marshalling
