Thank you to our sponsors Up and Running, Kingston. If you didn’t get a chance to see their pop-up shop at our event, why not head to the store in Kingston.
More details can be found on our Sponsors page.
26.2 Road Runners and all the competitors in 2017 Valentine’s 10k would like to say a big thank you to all the volunteers who made this year’s event another roaring success. The race ran without incident and the runners were very appreciative of all the encouragement along the route. Without our volunteers we would not be able to hold the event.
Thank you to all the members of 26.2 RRC (#tbrciS) who gave up your Sunday morning to stand in the cold!
Thank you to everyone who came to our race today. We hope you enjoyed taking part in the race as much as we enjoyed putting the event on for you.

We look forwards to seeing you again in 2018!
We look forward to welcoming all runners to our race tomorrow. We wanted to post a quick note as a reminder about transport options for getting to the race.
Please plan your travel to ensure you arrive in plenty of time to collect your number and warm up before the race begins.
Bus routes 71 & 465 buses from Kingston via Surbiton both stop either directly outside the HQ (Rte 71) or just across the road (Rte 465).
Due to engineering works taking place this weekend, there are no trains to Chessington South station. Please check online rail planners for details of replacement bus services that are running.
Please note that due to reduced capacity there are changes from previous years to the parking arrangements at the Barwell Business Park.
Runners arriving on the A243 from the M25 / Leatherhead / Dorking direction should park at the Chessington World of Adventures South Car Park leaving enough time to get to the race HQ approximately 10 minute walk away. If you are using this car park we have been asked to vacate it by 10:40am. If you expect to leave after this time, please use another car park.
Runners arriving on the A243 from the A3 / Ewell / Surbiton direction should park in the Barwell Business Park north end as directed by the marshals. The pedestrian exit leading onto Garrison lane will not be open this year so you will need to exit Barwell Business Park via the main gates onto the Leatherhead Road and walk along to Garrison Lane to get to the race HQ.
Please note there is very little on road parking close to race HQ and parking restrictions apply in most side roads.
With under a week to go until the 2017 edition of Valentine’s 10k, entries are coming in fast. Get you entry in now for the chance to race against Olympian Scott Overall.
Scott represented Team GB in the Olympic marathon at London 2012. In more prestigious events he also won the Valentine’s 10k in 2015, narrowly missing out on our course record.
With a 10k PB of 29:18.39 , we are excited to see what Scott can do this time round our course. On 14th January 2017 Scott ran 30:18 at the Bermuda 10k. We expect it to be a little bit cooler for our race which could provide the ideal conditions to target our course record of 30:17.
Scott runs for Blackheath and Bromley Harriers AC. Find out more about him at: www.scottoverall.com
