We have had a number of fabulous results this weekend from club members. If you have results not shown below that you would like included on the site, please let us know using the contact form.
Things started well on Saturday morning with another flurry of PBs at Kingston parkrun. The honourable mention goes to Sue Hawker (Grecian) who took two and a half minutes off her previous PB. Joe Chang also slayed a long standing daemon, finally getting a parkrun PB, 5 years (and 2 children) since his last one. For more on how things went in Kingston, member Josie Bate wrote this week’s run report which is available on the Kingston parkrun site.
On Sunday, we had a number of Zero2Hero graduates moving on from 5 to 10, in some cases Feet 10k and other 10 miles at the Great South Run. More details on how they got on will be sent out later in the week.
While not racing, a group of members performed an important job at Epsom Downs on Sunday. They did a scouting mission to check the course for our upcoming cross country event. We will be hosting the cross country fixture on 12th November at 3pm on Epsom Downs. Please add the date to your diaries. We need a strong men’s team to run and lots of help volunteering to ensure the event goes smoothly (and nobody ends up running a mile too far!).
Finally, there was one result that was missed last weekend that deserves a special mention. Richard Goulder ran the Centurion Autumn 100 in a fabulous time of 20 hours 14 minutes 45 seconds. Hats off to Richard on this amazing achievement.
