It is generally agreed that the 26.2 Road Runners Club running tops are not bright enough to wear on darker evenings. As a result, unlike our arch rivals based at the Hawker Centre, it is often observed that there is a lack of clear identification of who we are when we out running as groups on Monday and Wednesday evenings.
One possible solution is to order some more bright orange T-shirts which have been a popular choice for those members who took part in last year’s Round Norfolk Relay. I have contacted the same supplier and am pleased to announce that the cost is very reasonable – just £10 per shirt including printing and VAT, assuming we can get a minimum order of 50 T-shirts. These are breathable technical T-shirts (Vortex Plus) which have a mesh weave to wick away the sweat when used for training leaving you lighter and more comfortable. The printing will be in dark blue or black (as on the Round Norfolk Relay shirts) and will have both the ‘two runners’ and our website on the back and a simple 26.2 badge on the front. The T-Shirts come in four different sizes: Small 36″, Medium 38″, Large 40″, Ex Large 42″, XXLarge 44″
However, chatting with several members the general view is that the T-shirts are a bit smaller than usual (e.g. Joe Chang has a large T-shirt, whereas he would typically be a medium). As a result, please bear this in mind when placing your order. I shall be putting a list up on the Club Noticeboard to determine interest.
Please could you enter your details ASAP (i.e. name, size and quantity). Many thanks, Graham Ashby
