31 members ran the November Handicap last evening with first across the line, Chris Wilson improving his PB by 12 secs. He finished 9 secs ahead of Club Captain Kevin Stone, who improved his PB by 39 secs, and was 2 secs ahead of Rosie Gerrard who improved her PB by 38 secs.

James Thurston in 7th place took 6 secs off of his PB to run in 17:15, the fastest time of the evening.  This might not have been the case had Danny Norman, who recorded 17:20 and was one of three ‘first timers’, not missed the turning into Berrylands on the first lap!  There was mixed fortune for Richard Kirk beating his PB by 1 sec and Libby Marchant missing her PB by the same margin.  In total, there were 7 PBs and 6 SBs on the night, with all but two runners finishing within a space of 2mins 16 secs.

My thanks to the pavement team of Sue and Don Esslemont timing, and Derick Wilkie on discs, and Steve Ramek with me in the road and Andrea Bennett on discs.  We bid farewell to a stalwart of the Handicap, Elaine Dodds, who is off travelling for a year.  I attach the result.
