Nineteen Club members ran the last of the five Kingston parkruns that comprised the final Grand Prix event of the running year.
Dominic Collier won the parkrun overall for the third time this month and Zoe Ashcroft was the first lady home in the parkrun giving 26.2 RRC the Kingston parkrun “winners double”. Jane Calderbank was second lady home overall and Marcus Dinardo and Joe Chang were third and fourth men home overall.
With the Kingston parkrun getting a weekly writeup in the Kingston Guardian, this weeks report should be good PR for the club.
Dominic improved his time from two weeks ago by just one second, but having had his birthday last week, it was enough to improve his age graded score to 78.91% and to go ahead of Declan’s previously top age graded score by just one tenth of a percent.
This gives Dominic top points in Event 12 of the Grand Prix, pushes Declan down to 19 points and David Pimm to 18 points and as a result takes the outright men’s age graded title by just one point on the last run of the the last event. Well done but commiserations to David Pimm. David ran and improved on his previous best time at the Kingston parkrun, but it was not enough to hold Dominic at bay.
