Handicap tomorrow and parkrunners 31/08/13

Handicap tomorrow and I hope that the first timers we had for the August race will give it another go.  There were a number people that ran then and could run around the 30:00 min mark, Louise Johnston, Howard Brinkworth, Stephanie Brown, Sue Esslemont and Lizzie Wilson make for an interesting group of early starters.  Derick Wilkie will set off knowing that Maria Cenalmor is only 20 secs behind him and only 10 secs separate Richard and Victoria Kirk, this time.  Other close proximity groups are Javier Fuentes, Caroline Dawson and Tess Lambert, followed later by Jon Kinsey, Libby Marchant and Chris Wilson, who all start together.  I’m looking forward to a big turnout again, tomorrow, with others of you willing to help.

Surely the unusually large field at Banstead Woods parkrun didn’t all turn up for Neil Sunderland’s 350th?  7 Club members did though, with Neil ducking under 30 mins for the first time since 04/05/13.  19 members ran Kingston where Steve Ramek was 1st home for the Club in 9th position and Tessa Lambert was 3rd Lady. Daniel Hookey was a first timer.  Mr and Mrs Chang were first timers at Mile End, and Moustafa Fawzy and Bianka Ochs were first timers in a field of 415 at Nonsuch. It was Bianka’s first run since the beginning of January this year, a very welcome return.  Luke McDonagh was 6th finisher in a PB time of 18:12, his all time best.  4 members ran the inaugural Osterley Park event, Danny Norman, in his 333rd parkrun (triple Nelson?) finished 6th and Libby Marchant was 4th Lady.  Richard and Victoria Kirk were the other two members.

See you all tomorrow evening.
