Our third cross-country fixture of the 2013-14 season is on Saturday 11 January on Oxshott Common.  I have just posted the information that I have received from the race organiser in the downloads section – see link below.  Please note the earlier start time of 2.30pm.

There is a small map on the race info but I did a quick recce today.  The course route is largely on trails through woods and to be expected it is muddy in places, in particular on the sections open to horses.  It is suitable for spikes or trail shoes.  It is quite narrow in places, in particular near the start so could get congested in the early stages.  There is one particularly steep section (where the senior course diverts from the junior course on the map) but it is over quite quickly.  Although, there is free parking at the station, it would still make sense to car share as it could get quite busy. 

We will be meeting for a drink as usual in the New Prince from 6.30pm followed by a curry around 9pm.
