As everyone should now be aware the club Marathon ballot will take place this Wednesday at the club Christmas party and with 3 entries up for grabs make sure you get your entries in quick. Having been through all the qualifying races I have compiled the list below to show who has qualified in terms of number of races run for the ballot. If you are planning to enter please let a member of the committee know prior to the ballot so we can include you in the draw. The rules for the ballot are set out under the marathon ballot page which can be found within the Committee Info menu on the left of this page. Assuming you are in the list below and meet the criteria within the ballot rules then you can enter the draw.
We will be combining hills, speed and team work to make an session for those who want to increase their race pace. Its always fun so come along on Monday!!!
I have a lot of running and triathlon related books that I have accumulated over the years but I will need to get rid of before we leave for Australia in September next year. Therefore, I will be selling as many as possible at the Club Christmas Do / Marathon ballot evening.
The books are in excellent condition and will be priced at 50% off RRP and I will to give half the proceeds of the book sale as a donation to ADL for Life which is helps patients and families through the terminal illness of Adrenoleukodystrophy disorder (www.aldlife.org).
The books include a signed edition of Haile Gebreselaise’s “The Greatest” and a signed edition of record breaking UK LEJOG runner Sharon Gaytor’s book “The Clock keeps ticking” which includes several references to help given to her by 26.2 RRC life member Andy Smith and Ramona.
