Valentines 10k additional Race Day Instructions
 
Free parking is at the Barwell Business Park, Chessington, KT9 2NY, opposite Chessington World of Adventures which is only a few minutes’ walk to the race HQ. Please follow the car park signs and marshals will direct drivers from the A243.
 
Getting there: From the south take junction 9 off the M25 and then the A243; from London take the A3 exit at Hook and then the A243.Due to engineering work trains to and from Clapham Junction and Chessington South are to be replaced by bus services, please see SW Trains website for further details at http://www.southwesttrains.co.uk  The route 71 & 465 buses from Kingston via Surbiton both stop either directly outside the HQ (Rte 71) or just across the road (Rte 465) The start will be at the north end of the Barwell Business Park, a short walk from race headquarters, please be guided by the marshal who will direct you across the road from the HQ to the start.
 
Toilets: Available at race headquarters. There are no toilets at the start.
 
Aim to arrive no later than 8.30am to allow time to collect Hi-Vis jackets and get to the position by 8.45am. The Chessington Community College provides excellent indoor facilities with men’s and women’s changing rooms, showers, toilets and snack bar.
 
The course: It is not traffic free.  Due to the road works on Malden Rushett runners are requested not to wear headphones as doing so may mean they will be unable to hear a marshal’s instruction at this point and at the many other road junctions along the course.
