There is no charge for the event. Your results will be collected and we will send out results afterwards to see how you performed.
Please ensure that you run in accordance with the latest government Covid restrictions. Stay local, maintain social distancing at all times and give way to other people on your course. You can find the latest guidance from England Athletics here. This event is just for fun so please take part safely.

It is with great sadness that we are announcing the cancellation of the Valentine’s 10k in February 2021. We had hoped our race would go ahead but due to on-going restrictions we are unlikely to be able to put on a safe event that meets all the required regulations. We do not want to disappoint our runners with a last minute cancellation and as such are making the decision to cancel now.
We haven’t yet ruled out doing an event at some time in 2021, perhaps a summer race, but currently we cannot predict when or if that could happen. Fingers crossed for a return to racing as we knew it soon.
Results are available on the sports systems website: 2020 results.
Our winners were Daniel Cheeseman (City of York AC) in a time of 31:42 and Isabel Brinsden (Epsom & Ewell Harriers) finishing in 36:08. The men’s team prize was won by The Stragglers and females by Epsom & Ewell Harriers. The Stragglers took the mob shield with a massive 56 finishers.
A huge thank you to all of the 26.2 RRC members who made the 2020 race possible. The conditions were described as “miserable/comical” at times however the marshals were still commended for their enthusiasm and vocal support.
An extra big thank you goes to race director Bev Gow for spending many long hours making sure the race could go ahead.

Photos from our 2020 race were taken by Phil Kirk of Malden Camera Club. He very generously gave up his time and braved the elements to capture the before/after scenes of the race as well as nearly all runners crossing the finish line. You can get your race photographs on-line here.
We have checked the course and will recheck again in the morning. The current weather forecast has the wind strength dropping from 8am, but it is still anticipated to be very wet.
Our volunteers are sorting suitable attire and are ready to cheer you round the course.
Please come prepared with warm dry clothing for after the race. There are changing rooms and a baggage drop in the race HQ.
See you tomorrow!
