Mob matches are an opportunity to take on rival running clubs head to head. Several times a year we challenge other local clubs. Points are scored for both finish positions in the race as well as getting the largest number of runners out.
Our longest standing mob match is against The Stragglers each December. Historically a much bigger club they used to regularly give us a stuffing (literally as we get a box of Paxo as a booby prize) however we have recently shown them a thing or two. Until 2016 we had only won the competition twice (in 1987 and 1989) however we are now on a winning streak. Since 2016 we have been undefeated and intend to keep this going.
In recent years we hace also had mob matches against other local running clubs including Elmbridge Road Runners, Collingwood AC and Sutton Runners.
We also aim to win mob-prizes at local races such as the Hogsmill Ladies 5 where we have been victorious in 2018 and 2019.
