As a change to our normal competitive running, your next chance to compete against other club members is going to call on your creative side. Get out your cameras…we are launching a photo competition!
We are looking for entries in the following categories:
- 26.2 in training – images showcasing the different types of training that we do. Use your photos to show how hard our members work throughout the year.
- 26.2 at the races – members competing in club tops, preparing for races or celebrating afterwards. Extra credit for visibility of our official club kit!
- Valentine’s 10k – a special category for the best picture taken on the day of our annual Valentine’s 10k race.
- Creative running – be as imaginative as you can around the theme of running. No faces allowed in photos in this category.
You can enter up to 10 images in each category. Entries will be accepted until Saturday 28th April. Finalists will be selected in each category and the winning photos chosen through a vote by club members. Winning photographers will be presented with prizes for their efforts at the annual awards night on Saturday 12th May.
To submit your entries to the photo competition, please e-mail them to photos@26point2.co.uk. If you want to share your photos while you are entering, add them to facebook or instagram with the hashtag #262RRCphoto. We will also be sharing some of our favourite entries as they come in.
When you submit photos to the photo competition you are consenting to 26.2 Road Runners Club to use the photos on our website, emails and other marketing materials. If any photos contain images of under 18-year olds, we will need permission from their parents or guardians for the image to be entered in the competition.
