AGM 2018 – Nominations and voting

The club’s AGM takes place next Wednesday 16 May, 8.30pm at the Surbiton Racket & Fitness Club.  All detail was emailed to members on 16 April and is available on the AGM page: AGM 2018, including the agenda, Chairman’s report and a proposal to establish a new role of Vice Captain.  No further resolutions have been received.

The constitution provides for up to ten committee members in addition to the Honorary Officers.  As we have thirteen nominations (see below), there is therefore likely to be a ballot held at the meeting to elect members of the committee.  Do turn up to vote.

If you can’t make it, you can vote by proxy vote by submitting your request to Maria (secretary [ at ] [ dot ] uk) by Tuesday 15 May, appointing David Pimm or David Pearce (as officers not up for re-election) as your proxy and specifying how you wish your votes to be cast.

Decisions to be made at the AGM are:

  • proposed change to the club constitution to add the position of Vice Captain
  • life membership for Kevin Stone
  • committee members – select no more than 10 names.
